All Candidates Meet-n-Greet and Public Forum
The Dauphin & District Chamber of Commerce would like to welcome everyone to the All Candidates Meet-n-Greet which will follow the Public Election Forum on October 16th at the Dauphin Watson Art Centre. Have the chance to talk with the candidates running for the Dauphin-Neepawa-Swan River riding in the federal election.
The Brandon Sun, the Dauphin & and District Chamber of Commerce, 730 CKDM, Westman Communications Group, the Dauphin Herald, and WCGtv invite you to participate in a Candidates’ Debate on the issues facing Dauphin-Swan River-Neepawa in the upcoming federal election. The event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 for 90 minutes beginning at 7 p.m. at the Watson Art Centre.
Brandon Sun columnist Kerry Auriat has agreed to serve as moderator. The panel will consist of: Brandon Sun political reporter Drew May; James Blake with CKDM; Dauphin Herald editor Shawn Bailey; and Dauphin & District Chamber of Commerce executive director Stephen Chychota. Brandon Sun managing editor Matt Goerzen will co-ordinate questions from the audience.
The debate will be broadcast live from the Watson Arts Centre in Dauphin on WCG-TV. The Brandon Sun will follow up with in-depth stories on issues of concern to citizens in Westman, and Q Country 91.5FM, Star FM Brandon and CKDM will have news commentary during the next day's newscasts. There will also be a public meet and greet event following the evening's debate, hosted by the Dauphin & District Chamber of Commerce. Members of the audience will be welcome to stay following the debate and connect with the candidates a little more.
